The California Blood Bank Society (CBBS) invites you to join us at the AABB Annual Meeting on October 18, 2026 as we honor Dr. Edgar Engelman, recipient of this year’s AABB Landsteiner-Alter Award. Dr. Engelman’s contributions to transfusion medicine and blood banking have had a lasting impact on our field, and we look forward to celebrating this well-deserved honor.

After Dr. Engelman’s award lecture on Sunday morning, continue the celebration at the CBBS Meet & Greet Reception downstairs in room B306. All are welcome to join us at this informal gathering to connect with colleagues from across the transfusion medicine community and enjoy an opportunity for networking and fellowship.

Whether you’re a longtime friend, collaborator, mentee, or simply admire Dr. Engelman’s contributions to the field, we hope you’ll join us.
